“وقالوا لاتذرن آلهتكم ولاتذرن وداً ولا سواعاً ولا يغوث ويعوق ونسراً” 

And they have said: `You shall not leave your gods, nor shall you leave Wadd, nor Suwa`, nor Yaghuth, and Ya`uq and Nasr.’) These are the names of their idols which they used to worship besides Allah.

Al-Bukhari recorded from Ibn `Abbas (from the Ahl Al-Bait/Bani Hashim) that he said, “The idols that were among the people of Nuh wound up among the Arabs afterwards. In reference to Wadd, it became the idol of the people of Kalb in the area of Dawmat Al-Jandal. Suwa` became the idol of the people of Hudhayl. Yaghuth became the idol of the people of Murad, then the people of Bani Ghutayf at Al-Juruf in the area of Saba’ worshipped it after them. Ya`uq became the idol of the people of Hamdan. Nasr became the idol of the people of Himyar for the family of Dhu Kala`. These idols were all named after righteous men from the people of Nuh [i.e. HUMAN just like Imams/Saints/Leader etc]. Then when these men died, Shaytan inspired his (Nuh’s) people to erect statues in honor of them at their gathering places where they used to come and sit, and to name these statues after these men (with their names). So they did this (as Shaytan suggested), but these statues were not worshipped until after those people (the ones who built them) had died and the knowledge was lost. Then, those statues were later worshipped.”

This has also been similarly reported from `Ikrimah, Ad-Dahhak, Qatadah and Ibn Ishaq. `Ali bin Abi Talhah reported from Ibn `Abbas that he said, “These are statues that were worshipped in the time of Nuh.” Ibn Jarir recorded from Muhammad bin Qays that he said concerning Yaghuth, Ya`uq and Nasr, “They were righteous people between the time of Adam and Nuh, and they had followers who used to adhere to their guidance. Then, when they died, their companions who used to follow them said, `If we make images of them, it will increase our desire to perform worship when we remember them.’ So they made images of them. Then, when those people died and other people came after them, Iblis approached them and said, `They (your predecessors) used to worship these statues and they were granted rain by their worship of them.’ Thus, they (the latter people) worshipped them.”

In the light of the teachings of Islam i.e. prohibition of Images (of living beings), let alone STATUES, check the following reality of the Safavid, Rafidite Shi’ite Iranian state (and Shia Rafidi societies in general):

Know that the Messenger of Allah    cursed the women and men in the Jahiliya who wailed OUTLOUD and SLAPPED THEMSELVES etc. yet the Rafidah REVIVED the very same misguidance and PAGAN-ARAB customs.

What do you as a Muslim think would Ali  say or rather do with with the Rafidah Marjas (Ayadollars) who did not only exaggarated with Ali and the Ahl Al-Bait (drawing Images of them etc.), but rather are “humble” enough, to errect STATUES of Ayadollars, Safawi generals etc. all over the so called “Islamic Republic of Iran”. To give all of you a clue, let me show the Tawheedi-view of Ali  in regards to Images/STATUES etc.:

One of the giants of the Ummah Ibn Qudama Al Maqdisi said:”


“Ali  said that chess (الشطرنج) is a form of gambling (الميسر). And Ali passed by a group, who were playing chess, so he said:”What are these Images(ما هذه التماثيل i.e. the chess figures) that you are devoted to?”
Imam Ahmad said:”The Most authentic [narration] about chess are the words of Ali , it is a game that distracts one away from remembrance of Allah (SWT) as well as from the prayer, such that it resembles the game of Nard [card game].

The words of Ali  are in reality the words of Ibrahim  and you can find them in Surah Al Anbiya’. Furthermore, the reason for the prohibition is not restricted to the Images only, rather it includes the cause i.e. it distracts away from remembrance of Allah and the prayer, as one can see from the words of Ahmad.

Hadith – Muslim, Narrated Ali ibn AbuTalib

AbulHayyaj al-Asadi told that Ali ibn AbuTalib said to him: Should I not send you on the same mission as Allah’s Messenger  sent me? Do not leave an image without obliterating it, or a high grave without levelling it. This hadith has been reported by Habib with the same chain of transmitters and he said: (do not leave) a picture without obliterating it.

ن أمير المؤمنين عليه السلام قال: بعثني رسول الله ص إلى المدينة، فقال: لا تدع صورةً إلا محوتها، ولا قبرًا إلا سويته، ولا كلبًا إلا قتلته
“Ameralmomeneen (alayhi salam) said: Prophet (sallalahu alayhi wa ala alihi wa salaam) send me with order “Do not leave an image without obliterating it, or a high grave without levelling it, and dog without killing it”.

قال أبو بصير : فقلت : وما تزويق البيوت ؟ فقال : تصاوير التماثيل. ورواه البرقي في ( المحاسن ) عن أبيه ، عن عثمان بن عيسى ، عن سماعة ، عن أبي بصير ، مثله (1).
